Roland Slot Roland (1963) works for corporate clients as an independent executive coach, mentor and facilitator. He likes to leverage his broad business and personal skills, network and experience as a former founder, owner, investor and CEO of tech companies and combine this with his passion for personal and organizational transformation. His mission is to inspire and support business leaders to live successful and meaningful lives. Before Roland surrendered to his inner calling to inspire people, he was the founder and Managing Partner of WARP Equity Partners, a team of three entrepreneurs, who have been working together for over 14 years. He started his career at Shell, where he held several marketing and sales positions before he became active as an entrepreneur in 1992. His passion at that time was acquiring, starting and building growth companies, hiring and supporting leadership teams, while being actively involved in the companies’ strategies. He founded Twinspark, a leading Web consultancy firm in the Netherlands, grew the company to over 120 people, including 2 acquisitions and merged the company with Agency.com, after which Agency.com was listed on the NASDAQ in 1999. At the same time Roland founded Tridion, a leading global Enterprise Web Content Management Software Company, hired an experienced management team and raised Euro 30 million expanding the company across Europe. In 2003 Roland stepped in as CEO when the company was facing tougher economic times and hired a new CEO in 2004 for the next growth phase of the company. Before building technology companies he acquired and turned-around a niche distributor, selling into the electronics industry, which he sold to a French pan European group. Roland holds an engineering degree of the Technical University of Delft, where he founded his first company. Roland is Board member (ex-Chairman, ex-CEO and founder of Tridion, Board member (ex-Chairman) and co-founder of Adnovate, managing director of Twinning Holding, a government incubator, President of the Dutch Tech Tour 2002 (www.techtour.com) and a member and officer of the European Board of YPO (Young Presidents Organisation). |
